A look back: We reflect on Peter Dunne’s greatest achievements

Every night in my dreams, I see you, I feel you

No tears. Only dreams now.

This week’s stunning decision by United Future leader Peter Dunne has left a gaping bow tie shaped hole in New Zealand politics.

Having served 11 terms in Parliament and been a Minister in both Labour and National governments, Dunne decided to hang it all up, leaving behind a career that few could argue wasn’t 33 years long.

Peter Dunne, the great survivor, will be sorely missed in our national discourse. So today, in honour of his final hours, we thought we’d take some time to reflect, here, on his greatest achievements.
